The annual Pennsylvania Com and Soybean Conference is scheduled Friday, Jan. 15 here at the Days Inn Conference Center. This year's program fea tures speakers from across the country. Craig Hubner and Kyle Payne from United Ag Products will discuss their project, entitled “M-Power: What Precision Ag Experience is Teaching Us About Crop Production.” Dave Whitaker, manager of Pioneer Hybrid Interna tional, will present information on “New Developments on the Horizon in Com and Soybean Production." Additional speakers include John Yoccum, PSU Landisville research manager, and Greg Roth, PSU agronomy specialist, who will be discussing “10 Things Farms Can Do Today To Increase Profit.” Chris Smith of the Natural Resource and Conservation Service will be providing information on soil health. Dennis Phelps, member of the executive committee of the United Soybean Board, will provide an update on the soybean industry. Pat Boorva, Smith Barney marketing spe cialist, will take a look into the future with his presentation on “Marketing: Will I Be Fann ing in 2005?” The conference will also include a trade show, 5-Acre Com Club and Soybean yield contest awards, and reports from die Pennsyl vania Master Com Growers and Pennsylvania Soybean Board. Pesticide update credits will be available. Cost of the conference is $2O, which in cludes refreshments, lunch, and hand-out ma- terials.
