Recipes

BLUEBERRY CHEESE PIE
1 unbaked pie shell
2 cups blueberry pie filling
Cream cheese layer:
8-ounces cream cheese, sof
tened to room temperature
'A cup sugar
'A teaspoon salt
2 eggs
'/> cup milk
'/a teaspoon vanilla
Blend cream cheese, sugar, and
salt in bowl. Add 2 eggs, beat
again. Blend in milk and vanilla. If
mixture slightly curdles, don’t
worry—it bakes out.
Spread blueberry pie filling over
bottom of pie shell. Pour cream
cheese mixture over pie filling.
Bake at 350 degrees for approxi
mately 45 minutes or until lightly
browned.

a dairy farm. We eat lots of dairy
products like cheese and ice
cream. We grow our own veget
ables. Right now our children art
enjoying dog Sheba's 5-week-old
puppies until someone buys them.

CREAM PUFF CAKE
1 cup water
1 cup flour
'A cup butter
4 eggs
Bring water and butter to boil.
Add flour. Stir until form a ball.
Remove from heat, cool 5-10
minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, beating
well, after each addition. Butter
will be thick. Spread into
9x13-inch greased pan. Bake at
400 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool.
Batter will form up the sides.
Topping:
8-ounces cream cheese
2/4 cups milk
2 small packages instant vanilla
pudding
Mix ingredients until thick.
Spread on top of puff. Top with
whipped cream and drizzle choco
late syrup on top.
Delicious.

RASPBERRY PUNGE
4 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons shortening
A cup milk
VA teaspoon baking powder
% teaspoon salt
VA cups sifted flour
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add milk and blend well. Combine
flour, baking powder, and salt
Add to other ingredients and mix
well. Set aside. In a pan, combine
the following:
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon shortening
'A teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon com starch
Mix together all ingredients, stir
constantly. When thickened, add 3
cups raspberries. While mixture is
bubbling, drop batter by spoonfuls
over berries. Cover and cook for
10 minutes. Serve hot with milk.
Also delicious with blueberries.

the beeswax and oils in a pan of water until melted, added
warm milk and glycerine and beat with a mixer until cool.
After it sat for awhile, the milk separated from the other
ingredients. She would appreciate a recipe that works or
ideas on how to make the recipe she has work.

bulbs that have already sprouted about 6 inches tall.
Should she let the bulbs dry before replanting or plant them

QUESTION—A faithful reader would like to know if any
one can tell her how to save an unfinished quilt top, she
found while cleaning out a house. The top has turned yel
low where exposed, dusty, etc. The remainder of the quilt is
like new. It is printed to be embroidered in cross stitch and
is already marked to be quilted. If she wases it, the mark
ings and cross stitch will probably wash out. Is it worth the
time sewing and maybe not getting clean? The dirty part is
about a 12-inch square where folded.
