The oldest and largest Texas Longhorn registry in the world, the TLBAA was organized in 1964. It has more than 4,200 members across the United States. Canada, and five foreign countries and maintains records on almost 250,000 animals at its office in Fort Worth, Texas. Brown and his wife, Susie, operate Triple Ring Ranch, where they have raised Texas Longhorn cattle since 1991. The historic val ue of the breed appeals to the Browns, as well as the Texas Longhorn’s ease of maintenance and production of naturally lean beef. Belarus Offers New Tractor Options MILWAUKEE, Wis. Cab features include heavy fiberglass construction; a low-profile, nar row design; and front- and rear opening windows, plus the or chard cab also can be mounted and removed for servicing. An addi tional light package includes inter ior lighting and four-way halogen exterior lighting. Cabs also can be equipped with fenders to protect orchard fruit from tire damage. Entomologists Get First Look At New Insecticide Compound NASHVILLE, Tenn. The first research data from tests with a novel, new insecticide com pound were introduced by scien tists from Novartis Crop Protec tion, Inc., at the Entomological Society of American Annual Meeting. Six papers were presented indi cating that the new compound shows promise for control of sucking and chewing insects in "~~re than 20 crops, with low-use rates and minimal impact on bene ficial insects. Novartis has designated the compound as CGA 293*343, a novel, neonicotinoid class insecti cide with a unique structure. No vartis indicated that a common name has not yet been approved by ISO-9000.
