Feeder heifers steady to 1.00 higher, heifer calves 2.00-3.00 higher, except 5 weights 1.00- lower. Demand good for feeders, moderate to good for calves. Quality plain to average, end attractive. Feeder cattle in slightly thin to medium flesh condiUon. Calves in moderate to fleshy condition. Weigh-ups average. Heavy rains statewide made it difficult to move cattle thus reduc ing receipts. Slaughter cows steady to 1.50 higher. Slaughter bulls 1.00 higher. Packer demand moderate to good. Demand espe cially good for thin cows headed back to the country. Total of 490 cows and bulls sold, 60 percent going to packers. Receipts this week 6,050; last week 10,402; last year 14,186. Supply consisted of 56 percent yearlings and calves over 600 lbs; 36 per cent calves under 600 lbs; 8 percent cows and bulls. Prices follow with weighted average weight and price in parenthesis.
