Demand moderate for feeders. Steer and heifer calves 3.00-6.00 lower. Demand light for general tun of calves as farmers continue to wait for tain. Rain chances improving with a storm system moving toward central Oklahoma Monday even ing. Slow moving system did materialize Monday night providing slow soaker of 1.5-35 inches of rain statewide. This should be of benefit to upcoming calf markets. Last Friday’s cattle on feed report had little appreciable effect on the feeder market despite continued strong place ments, Lower futures last midweek along with light movement from feedlots a more probable cause of the lower feeder mark ets. Quality of supply average with several strings of fancy calves included. Feeder flesh medium. Calf flesh medium to mod erately fleshy. Weigh-ups full to mostly avenge and improved for buyers. Slaugh ter cows and bulls I.oolsohigher. Packer demand good. Cram try buyers active for thin cows headed to fall pastures and feed lots. Total of 675 cows and bulls sold with 60 percent going to packets. Receipts this week 11,200; last week 11,692; last year 14,255. Supply consisted of 56 percent yearlings and few calves over 600 lbs; 38 percent calves and light yearlings under 600 lbs; 6 percent cows and bulls.
