HUNTINGDON (Huntingdon Co.) The Huntingdon County Open and Youth dairy shows were held separate days during the Huntingdon County Fair. A world-class 4-year-old Hol stein, Ore Farm Vintage Jasmine, continues to earn grand champion honors for her owner Tara Kocher of Juniata County. Kocher showed Jasmine in the Huntingdon Coun ty open show and won grand champion. This same cow earned supreme champion in the junior dairy show at the World Dairy Ex Tara Kocher, left, holds her grand champion 4-year-old while John Foster, Jr., shows off the reserve champion animal, owned by Robert Norris. Globe-Run Jethro Violet also won grand champion for Huntingdon County exhibitors only. Junior champion went to Tyler Peachey and his fall year ling, Peachey Encore Gwen. Fos ter’s winter yearling, Globe-Run Mega Christmas, won reserve junior champion. In the Ayrshire show, grand champion honors went to a senior 3-year-old owned by Plum Bot tom Farm in Belleville. Reserve champion went to a junior 3-year old owned by Dean Varner. Junior champion honors went to Alan Brant and his summer yearling. Plum Bottom’s fall calf won re serve junior champion. The Brown Swiss show ended with the selection of lan Hayden’s S-year-old as grand champion. Placed as reserve champion was the entry in the 125,000-pound class by Charles Liner.
