The business grew and when the Twin Maple Farm, home to sulky racing for nearly 35 years, was put on the market, the Mummerts bought it and began to grow pro duce on the land. What was a two acre race track is now a strawberry field, Yvonne said. The 18 th century brick-end bam was restored and now serves as the market sales room. Open from May to October, many different seasonal fruits and vegetables and some gift items are available in the market. The festival and open house pro vides the visitor with educational information on crop production, nutrition, and operation of a farm, a wagon ride tour of the farm to see how soil erosion is prevented and water quality protected, an exhibit of farm machinery of today and yesteryear, and a visit with the Mummerts to learn how a dairy farm operates. Scheduled all day long are car riage rides, educational displays, food, farm tours, musical enter tainment, and an antique tractor display.
