Supreme Champion Title

WHITNEYVILLE (Tioga
County) Representatives from
each breed circled slowly around
the ring as judge Gary Rogers exa
mined each one carefully before
naming the supreme champion of
the Tioga County Open Dairy
Show.
The competition immediately
followed the open Holstein show
held Saturday. Aug. 9.

comes down to making hard deci
sions. and I’m there right now. I’m
basing my decision on the most
important component of the cow,
the udder.”
After commenting on the qual
ity of all the animals, he turned to
Chenango Lincoln Santa, the
4-year-old grand champion Hols
tein owned by Gor Wood D Hols
teins of Mansfield, and named her
the supreme champion of the
show.
Also in contention for the
supreme champion title was the
Jersey grand champion, Norman
dell Jedd Payge, owned by Cath
leen Norman of Liberty; the Ayr
shire grand champion. Blue Devils
