An Ayrshire rose to the top of the 250 entries in the Troy Fair 4-H and FFA Roundup to be named the grand champion of her breed and the overall supreme champion. The 5-year-old cow, Bon nieshade JJ Clover, owned by Brian Sharer of Laccyville, cap tured the coveted award after judges Mary Shanks Creek of Hagerstown, Md. and Paul Knight of Airvillc examined the grand champions of each breed. Ayrshire Is Supreme Champion At Show ers, Richard Spencer’s Elm Brook Signa Jarine was named the junior champion, while John Yurkanin Jr.’s Elm Brook Signature Gifted was named the reserve junior champion. In a small Guernsey show, Mouintain View Zero, owned by Lucas Trowbridge, was designated the junior champion, while Shale Hill Perfect Nola, also owned by Lucas Trowbridge, was named the reserve junior champion. In the Holstein ring, Aaron Sheeley’s Braund Valley Potential Kel was named the grand champ ion while Jodi Crawford’s Ho- Crawf Chesapeake Lindy was named the reserve junior champ ion. Among the heifers, David Packard’s Pack Herd BC Bazoo was named the junior champion. She was flanked by James Alder fer’s Du-Mar Astre Fuchsia, named the reserve junior champion. Grand champion honors in the Jersey breed were bestowed upon Thomas Noble’s Nobledale Jacob Cookie, a 4-year-old. The reserve grand champion of the day was Heather Yurkanin’s aged cow, Cindy Lee Milpinc. The junior champion Jersey of the day was Martin Watson’s Butter Ridge Juno Jade, who was followed by the reserve junior champion. Fros ty Valley Imperial Vanessa, own ed by Daniel Harkness. The grand champion in the Milking Shorthorn show was a junior 3-year-old, Summit-Vista- Cheri Dumplin, owned by Samuel Cole. She was followed by the reserve grand champion and junior champion. Beauty, owned by Evan Bresee. Samuel Cole’s Summit- Vista Admiral Monica was named the reserve junior champion.
