Maryland State Fair The 116th Maryland State Fair, a 10-day festival complete with home arts demonstrations/'live stock presentations, midway chills, live entertainment and thoroughbred horse racing, will open Saturday, Aug. 23 and run through Monday, Sept 1, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Timonium Fairgrounds in Baltimore County. Early risers are welcome to attend livestock and horse shows at 9 a.m. Exhibit halls open at 10 a.m., and the midway opens at 10 a.m. on weekends and noon on weekdays. Admission is only $4 for adults and children under 12 are free. Rides are individually priced. Ad mission to the race track is included in the admission price of the fair. The Maryland State Fair is an educational resource complete with daily exhibits and demon strations which are sure to capti vate visitors of all ages.
