Mifflinburg FFA Several Miffllinburg FFA members were recognized for earning various awards during the organization’s 67th annual parent member banquet at Mifflinburg Area High School. Jeremy Dorman was honored for earning a second-place nation al FFA proficiency award and state and regional proficiency awards in small fruit/vegetable production and for being named the FFA northcentral Region star in horticulture. Dorman, Daniel Rishel, Michael Sauers, Lee Snook and Jeremy Weaver were recognized for receiving the FFA Keystone Farmer Degree, the highest achievement degree given by the Pennsylvania FFA. Michael Sauers received an award as the Union County Star Fanner from the First National Trust Bank of Beavertown and a Servistar Tools for Tomorrow Award, based on leadership, activities and an essay, presented by Shipton Building Supply. Jona than Dietrich received the Star Chapter Farmer Award, and Courtney Benner received the Star Greenhand Award.
