She is also her town ship’s first woman supervisor. “I’m not a woman’s libber or anything, but I think woman are as capable as men are to fill many of these positions,” Betsy said. Betsy’s Grange involvement is long and impressive. Closed Starting A Home Day Care Workshop Offered TOWANDA (Brad ford Co.) “Starting a Home Day Care” is the title of a two-part work shop for persons inter ested in starting a day care in their home. Sponsored by Penn State Cooperative Extension of Bradford County, it will be held on Wednesdays, Janu ary 22 and 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the Parlor of the Pint Presbyterian Church, 5 Court Street (across from the Courthouse), Towanda. A ramped entrance is available at the Pine Street door. Topics to be dis cussed during the work shop include: • Rules and regulations • How to become registered • Rates to charge • The Child Care Food Program • Operating your day care like a business • Planning and orga nizing the day • Stress management/ balancing work and family • Snacks • Resources There is no fee to attend the workshops, however registration is required by January 15.
