Nominations are being sought by the Penn State Dairy men’s Club for consideration for the club’s annual service award. The deadline for nominations is Nov. 1. There is no specific format for submitting nominations. Sug gested areas for discussion in a nomination could include such things as the nominee’s leadership in the agricultural community, per sonal involvement in the dairy industry, and personal achieve ment and excellence. The annual award is presented to those who work toward the advancement and betterment of the dairy industry. The Farm & Natural Lands Trust is a private, non-profit land preserva tion organization working to pro tect and maintain the rural and natural landscapes that make York County such a desirable place to live and work. Proceeds from the festival will go to further the efforts of the trust. The fest is a family affair with games for the children and enter tainment for the adults. Foods for every taste will be available. Children’s activities include a pet ting zoo, pumpkin painting, a straw maze, clowns, pdny rides, Quick Change Artist.
