The event, which is held annually on the 4th Saturday of September, brought in more than $660,000. Trie money goes to victims of disas ters in the United States and oversees. An estimated 9,000 people attended the auc tion. It was sponsored by the Atlantic North east and Southern Con ferences, which includes 132 churches. The auction featured the sale of cows, heif ers, quilts, objects of art, livestock, and many other items.
