Holiday Fantasies The Fayette County Homemak er’s Holiday Bazaar is set for Tuesday, October 8 in the Fid dlers’ Building at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s bazaar is Holiday Fantasies. This bazaar raises funds to benefit the family living prog rams of Penn State Cooperative Extension in Fayette County. Five local craftspeople have been scheduled to present demon strations throughout the day. • Susan Nesti will show the audi ence how to add decorative linings to baskets. • Evelyn Constantine will demonstrate making ties for all seasons. • Doll fanciers will watch Winona Higinbotham cre ate a handmade dollar from start to finish. • Nancy Bezilla from Pat Catan’s Craft Center in Duquesne will craft door decorations with a holiday theme. • Genie Hamilton will show how to turn a T-shirt or sweatshirt into a dress for girls of all ages. In addition to the schedueld demonstrations, there will be approximately 20 craft vendors at the bazaar, TTiey will be amateur and professional crafters who have created an array of items for show and sale. Crafters will be able to explain how their crafts were created, and answer particip ants’ questions. Each craft vendor and advisory board member will be providing a doorprize. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Lunch will be catered by Pleas ant View Presbyterian Church, and is available by prepaid reser vation for $4.50.
