Pa.DHIA Plans
For Events
DAVID A. BIGELOW
Training Coordinator
STATE COLLEGE (Centre
Co.) On July 16 the Pa. DHIA
Held staff met in the Holiday Inn
at State College to plan for up
coming events such as Empire
Farm Days, Ag Progress Days and
the fall technicians’ conferences.
It was decided to put booths at
both the upcoming trade shows.
Empire Farm Days and Ag Prog
ress Days. Emphasis will be
placed on marketing the three ma
jor departments, field service, la
boratory service and processing
service.
These services make Pa. DHIA
unique in the fact that it makes the
cooperative the only stand-alone
service in the country that offers
all three services under one roof.
This allows for better communica
tion and quicker service to the
membership.
This year’s fall technicians’
conferences will be held in State
College Oct. 14-18, at the Days
Inn, State College.

tend the conferences on an ap
pointed day that week.
An agenda is being prepared at
this time.
These conferences are being
held in order to conform with
quality certification through Na
tional DHIA which requires edu
cation of employees. The fall con
ference allows time for each tech
nician to receive the yearly
competency exam.
Pa. DHIA continues to serve
membership in Pennsylvania,
New York, New Jersey, Mary
