That’s exactly what sugar beet and vegetable growers will get when they attend two tours August 7 in Fremont at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Deve lopment Center’s Vegetable Crops Branch. From processing tomatoes to pumpkins and potatoes, the latest research results will be on display at the Vegetable Crops Field Day from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Both OARDC and Ohio State University Exten sion scientists will be on hand to answer questions about growing vegetable crops. The program will include infor mation on processing tomatoes, cultivar trials, pumpkins and pota toes. In addition, visitors can rest their feet by taking wagon tours of the various research plots. OARDC Director Tom Payne will give opening remarks. Admission is free and open to the public. The reassessment appeal will take place in the Reassessment Department of the Lancaster County Courthouse and will con sist of a 10-minute session.
