The Eaves’ family has been dairying for nearly 40 years and includes sons, Douglas, Glenn, A*., Richard and also daughter-in-laws, Rebecca and Tammy. The operation includes eight farms and the fanning of over 3,500 acres of which 1,600 are owned. The total herd is comprised of 3,300 cows and 1,300 heifers. The current milking herd of 2,600 holsteins has an average of 18,500 lbs. of milk. The Eaves’ family have served in various civic and community organizations in Frederick County all of their lives, as well as being active in many state and regional organizations.
