During his studies at lowa State, he interned at the Holstein Association, U.S.A. is 1994 work ing with members to increase pro duct and service knowledge. He was also on the farm crew at lowa State Dairy Science Teaching farm milking all six dairy breeds and worked on a 275 animal regis tered Holstein dairy. Hammerand is responsible for representing the Association prog rams to members through field services including linear classifi cation. I.E. & E.D. enrollment, PTPR enrollment, herd appraisals, cattle selection for domestic mark ets and registration and transfer assistance. Hammerand grew up on a 400 acre, 65 cow dairy near Sherrill, lowa and has recently relocated to Beloit, WI.
