National Grain Market ST. JOSEPH, MO JANUARY 10, 1996 Wheat bidi finished narrowly mixed following com and bean wcaknen but tome support was noted due to export optimism about China. Com and soybean bids lost a bit of yesterday's gains in reac tion to revised forecasts in Argentina call ing for rain over the next few days and fund selling on the board Traders will have to wait until next Tues day for USDA's Crop Production and Grain Stocks report due to blizzard condi tions in Washington. Wheat mixed. Com 3 to 6 cents lower. Sorghum 6 to 10 cents lower. Soybeans 2 to 6 cents lower. Indica tions that China had bought 750,000 tonnes of US wheat Tuesday and that Morocco was seeking a large quantity of optional origin wheat offered some strength to wheat bids. A fair amount of wheat was sold overnight to Korea which was suppor tive. However, spillover weakness from com and bean pits, added tome pressure to wheat bids. Profit taking pushed com and soybean bids lower after Tuesday’s sharp upturn due to forecasts for rainfall in Afgentina this week after earlier expecta tions for wanner, drier conditions. Good export demand offered tome support to com and bean bids.
