ANSWER—Elizabeth Littleton, Glen Arm, Md., and Joyce
Utterbock of Alderson, W. V., wanted the starter for Amish cin
namon bread. Helen Spencer, Hopewell, N.J., made so much
of the bread and gave it away that she would like to stop feed
ing it for awhile. She asks if it may be frozen because she
doesn’t want to lose the ability to make more of it as it is won
derful. Thanks to a reader who sent this recipe. She said you
may store it in the refrigerator for 2 weeks but don’t freeze.
Also, don’t use a metal container or spoon. Whenever you use
some, feed the remaining mixture.
