favorable comments about the
operation, including that the bam

repainted, although some restora
tion is necessary.
“We’re putting it back the way
it was, so to speak,” said Doug.
Overall, the Potts have heard a
“lot of comments about the fact
that (people) can come out hoe
and don’t feel like they’re a num
ber and arc whisked through the
farm, in and out and begone, ’ ’ said
Doug. “We encourage people to
stay as long as they want.”
The Potts advertise in local pap
ers. The farm is also host to several
preschool and kindergarten orga
nizations to provide a classroom
learning experience. Doug said

Doug said that belonging to the
Pennsylvania Christmas Tree
Growers Association has proved
valuable as an information source
for the growers.
Lynn said she believes she is
successful if she can convince
those who have use artificial trees
to change their mind.
“I’ve talked to a lot of people
that had artificial trees,” she said.
“They’re tired of them. They tell
me that (the artificial trees) start
looking shabby after a couple of
years. And I feel so overjoyed that
they’re coming here to get a tree.
That’s great Artificial trees don’t
compare to real trees.”
The farm, located on Valley
Road, is open Wednesday through
Sunday. Hours on the farm range
from Wednesday to Friday, noon
till night and Saturday and Sun
day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
