FFA Student Leaders
To Meet In Capitol
WASHINGTON. D.C. lowa
collaborated with Arkansas. Cali
fornia teamed up with New York
and Texas. And North Carolina
shared concerns with Puerto Rico.
Although the state names em
broidered on the backs of their

their geographic diversity, the 102
state FFA officers gathered in the
nation’s capitol were united by a
common goal: to strengthen agri
cultural education and FFA in the
next year and beyond.
The group, representing each
state, Puerto Rico and the Virgin
Islands, attended the State Presi
dents’ Conference to prepare for
their responsibilities as delegates
and committee chairs for the 68th
National FFA Convention, to be
held in Kansas City, Mo., Nov.
9-11.
During the recent six-day con

workshops, met with government
leaders to discuss the importance
