Aged Cow Grand At Maryland Brown Swiss FREDERICK, Md.—Despite the hazy, hot, and humid weather here in Maryland, 140 Brown Swiss were shown at the recent Maryland State Show, held at the Frederick Fairgrounds, in Freder ick. Md. James Burdette, of Mercers burg. Pa. judged die cattle during the all-day event Breeders partici pating were from seven Maryland counties, and three breeders from Virginia. Allen and Tammy Bassler, of Upperville. Va. won die premier breeder banner, and George Wm. Smith 111 capture the premier exhibitor banner with their point accumulations during the show. This was the fust year for these prestigious banners, and will con tinue to highlight future shows, according to Eric Fleming, the show chairman.
