Maryland Holstein enthu siasts are invited to attend the Maryland Holstein Association’s second annual picnic set to be held 10 a.m., August 12, at My Ladys Manor Farm, in Monkton. Home of the Smith families, a catered lunch is to be served about noon and a day of activities is planned. Booths, displays, and commer cial exhibits are to provide up-to date information. Tom Moses, from Holstein USA, is to conduct “Grassroots Member Meetings,” small discus sion groups so that members desires can be better expressed and achieved. Don Crossen, a Holstein classi fier, is to present a classification workshop for all ages. At 2 p.m., a free calf drawing is to be held for all youth aged 21 years or less, but the winner must be present to receive the prize. Free T-shirts are to be given to any youth attending. In addition, the Maryland Junior Holstein Club will hold a meeting and will also be given a foot trim ming demonstration on both the table and a box.
