Said Dorothy Henderson, “I was born and raised on a farm and I married a fellow that liked farm ing, too.” With husband Clyde and daughters Margie, 32, and Millie (married to Barry Fitzgerald), the Hendersons farm about 200 acres altogether in Lake Ariel, Wayne County. They care for about 49 grade Holstelns, milking tiestall to pipeline. They use some pasture ground and feed a mixed ration of 18 percent protein, including minerals and vitamins. The farm has been In the family about 38 years. Clyde and Dorothy have two grandchildren, Coleen, 11 and Brian, 9. Davis, Sr. The Davis family farms In Meshoppen, Susquehanna County. Altogether, the operation encompasses 160 acres, of which most Is used for crops, Including 35 acres of corn, 30 acres of hay, and several acres in woods and pasture.
