VERNON ACHENBACH JR. Lancaster Faming Staff QUARRYVILLE (Lancaster Co.) The show season started Wednesday for Lancaster County 4-H youth with the county show held at the Solanco Fairgrounds in Quairyvillc. David Castrogiovanni, of Mon trose, judged the animals, while Joy Crouthers, of Oxford, judged for showmanship. Tom Arrows mith, of Peach Bottom, judged fitting. In the Brown Swiss breed, Eli zabeth Smith, of Denver, showed a junior 2-year-old, K&Q Brigadier Lollipop, to win senior and grand champion titles. Gerald Boyd, of Ephrata, showed his junior 2-year-old, KEB Clayview Emory Baffy, to win reserve senior and reserve grand champion titles. Boyd also showed the reserve junior champion, a junior calf, Dublin Hills Pro Posie. Andrew Smith, of Denver, showed an intermediate calf, K&Q Simon Angel, to win the junior champion honor. In the Guernsey breed, Brian Smith of Denver showed all champions. His junior champion was a senior yearling, K&Q Jasper Tulip. His senior and grand champion was junior 2-year-old K&Q Sheldon Violet She was also the best bred and owned. Brian’s reserve senior and reserve Denise Bollinger shows her reserve grand champion Jersey. Lancaster 4-H grand champion was his 4-year old K&Q Queen Fayette Flower. In the Jersey breed, Marsha Bal mcr, of Manheim, showed the grand champion which was also the junior champion, a senior calf Bo Joy Starbuck M&M. Denise Bollinger, of Manheim, showed the reserve junior and reserve grand champion, a junior yearling, Petermans Pride Lynx Darla. In the Holstein breed, Marsha Balmer, of Manheim, showed her junior 3-year-old, Len-Mer-Pine Majestic Cani to win senior and grand champion honors. Reuben Kennel, of Mount Joy, showed the reserve senior and reserve grand champion, a senior 2-year-old. PA-Comerstone Cub by Noreen, and he showed *his intermediate yearling. PA-CG Broker Victoria, to win the reserve junior champion honor. Kristopher Martin, of Manheim, showed the junior champion Hols tein, an intermediate calf, Leh- Mer-Pine Roy Nin.
