Wheat bids continued lower on harvest
pressure and fund selling as recent highs
seemed overdone. Com bids were pushed
lower on profit taking and planting prog
ress. Soybean bids were narrowly mixed.
Wheat 3 to 13 cents lower. Com mostly 1
to 2 cents lowei. Sorghum 3 to 4 cents low
er. Soybeans muted. Additional correc
tions were made in wheat pits today, driv-

sure for both hard and soft red winter
wheat weighed on bids. Some profit taking
on the board was also a negative factor.
Good export demand limited declines and
indications Egypt has bid for 350,000 ton
nes of US wheat may give wheat bids a
boost soon. Profit taking kept com bids
slipping lower. Planting has progressed
over the past couple of days as farmers
keep at it every chance they get. Scattered
rains, however, continued to show up in the
Midwest. Export demand picked up
slightly.
Soybean bids were mixed as Midwest
weather continued to be unpredictable.
Bean meal showed some board weakness
but improved export demand, helped to
underpin bids.
