Andy Andrews, staff writer for
Lancaster Farming, won an hon

tion's annual journalism contest
A five-year member of the Lan
caster Farming staff. Andrews
wrote a two-part series on the chal
lenges of sinkhole maintenance,
published in the newspaper on
November 26 and December 3 of
last year. The series recounted far

quet, which provides 75 percent of the
Federation’s annual operating budget.
“All you have to do is buy a ticket and
have a good time,” said John Hoffman,
executive director of the Federation. Tick
ets are $125 each.
Many new food items are planned for
the event, according to Hoffman, including
hors d’oeuvres and a new chicken entree,
"Casablanca Chicken.” The social begins

“Funds raised at the upcoming
FARMER Dinner will be used to
help ‘friends of agriculture’ get
elected to the General Assembly,”
explained FARMER committee
chairman Jim Cappucci.“FAßM-
Eß is the only political action com
mittee in Pennsylvania owned and
controlled by farmers for farmers.”
The FARMER dinner will begin
with an hour-long reception at 6
p.m.
