Orchard grow ers who want to learn more about integrated pest management (IPM) are invited to attend the Southeast Pennsylvania Workshop for Commer cial Growers on March 15 at the Berks County Ag Center. "The Nuts and Bolts of IPM” has been designed as an all-day, intensive experience to provide classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and demon strations for participants. “Growers will be able to sample and monitor insect pests in the orchard and know more about the latest tactics in pest control,” said Mena Hautau, extension agent, Berks County Cooperative Extension. ‘The Nuts and Bolts of IPM” will be held from 9 a.m. to S p.m. at the Berks County Ag Center, Leesport. The cost for the workshop is $3O and includes the noon meal, refresh ments, and an IPM kit. The registration dead line is March 8. Partici pation is limited to 50 participants.
