Lancaster County was one of 57

their achievements during 1993.
Nearly 3,000 soil and water con
servation districts nationwide were
eligible for the award.
In addition to observing con
servation and agricultural prac

fer and participants in the work/
study trip had an opportunity to
discuss major conservation issues
and policies with Jerry Digemess,
president of NACD.
“Lancaster County and every
conservation district in the country
have benefited from their partici
