Deer Jerky 1 pound venison (shoulder cuts, flank or round steak) '/i cup soy sauce 1 teaspoon garlic powder Slice venison with the grain into thin strips, 14 to 54 -inch wide and 2 to 6 inches long. Paint on or dip the strips into a mixture of soy sauce and garlic powder. Place on wire rack in deep oven pan; dry completely in 150-degree oven for eight to 12 hours. Pet Bread Pudding Preheat oven to 325° Grease baking pan with butter. Cube white bread and put in baking pan. In bowl, mix 3 eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla andi/2 teaspoon salt. Add 2 cups scalded milk, beat thoroughly with wire whisk. Pour wet ingredients over bread in baking pan. Place baking pan in a pan of water in oven and bake for 1 hour Just 1/2 cup each day. Mix the first 8 ingredients with a wooden spoon in a large bowl. Heat chick en broth to lukewarm;-add to flour mixture. Stir until dough forms. Roll out dough until it is 1/4-inch thick. Using a large dog biscuit for model, cut out bone shapes from dough. Places on greased cookie sheets. Brush dough with egg glaze. Bake bones for 45 minutes. Turn oven off. Biscuits should remain in oven overnight to hard en. Makes 50 3-bv-l-inch bones.
