Reed and Diane Hoover of Lebanon, PA, recently attended the 1994 Young Cooperative Leaders Conference, held July 6-8 at the Ramada Hotel in Altoona, PA. Hosted by the Pennsylvania Council of Cooperatives, the con ference featured a variety of work shops and activities designed to strengthen the participants’ knowl edge of cooperatives and develop leadership skills. Representing the Southeastern Region of the State, the Hoovers were among 50 cooperators to attend the 20th annual conference. They were sponsored by the Penn sylvania Dairy Herd Improvement Association. The Pennsylvania Council of Cooperatives is a statewide associ ation of cooperative businesses owned and controlled by fanners and rural Pennsylvanians. Its membership includes major mar keting and farm supply coopera tives, Pennsylvania Farm Credit Associations, and Pennsylvania Rural Electric Cooperatives.
