Meetings Set
BLOOMSBURG (Columbia
Co.) Penn State’s multicounty
extension unit in the central Sus
quehanna Valley has scheduled
the next set of pasture discussion
meetings for dairy and livestock
producers.
The pasture discussion group
meetings are for people interested
in improving or intensifying their
grazing management. The meet
ings are held on area farms utiliz
ing intensive grazing programs.
Discussion centers on grazing
management strategies, successes,
and problems.
The next dairy pasture session
will be on Friday, August 26 from
10 a.m. to noon at the farm of Jon
Ockcr near Mifflinburg. Ocker
has utilized intensive grazing for
several years and is planning to go
to seasonal milking. From Rt. 45
