The proceeds of the auction are divided between the county 4-H or FFA program, the owner of the animal and the owner’s local 4-H club or FFA chapter. Quarts of milk were sold from the grand and reserve grand champions of the youth show as well. Cortland Tire gave the final bid of $175 for the milk produced from Matthew Watson’s grand champion Jersey, Miles Dolly of Little Pond. The milk from the grand champion Ayrshire, BEKA Madison’s Miracle, owned by Melissa Hillyard, commanded a bid of $lOO from Cross Roads Equipment The reserve champion Holstein, Braund Valley Potential Kel, owned by Aaron Shelley, pro duced a quart of milk which sold for $175. Farm Credit of Towanda was the successful bidder. Eastern Milk Producers pur chased the milk from the reserve champion Jersey for $125. The animal. Sunset Ridge Goldmaker Dolly is owned by Seth Harris. Sunset Ice Cream purchased the milk from Karen Neville’s reserve champion Ayrshire, Locust Lane Gumdrop Gypsy for $l2O. In addition to the milk, baskets of Bradford County products were also sold to help raise money for the youth program.
