Seeds Shows Grand At Kimberton Jersey Show

Seeds, owner of Top-O-Hill Farm,
showed the grand champion Jersey
in a 55-animal show held Thursday
night at the Kimberton Communi
ty Fair, in Kimberton.
Seeds, of Downingtown, and
her youth showed a number of the
chalnpions of the evening.
Mildred’s grand champion was
a junior 2-year-old that judge War
ren Buckman, of Perkasie, in
Bucks County, said he really
admired, even though she wasn’t
as mature as some of the other
animals.
At the Kimberton fair, there are
no reserve champions named, but
if there would have been. Seeds
probably would have had more
awards. The Jersey show at Kim
berton is one of the laigest com
munity Jersey shows in southeast
ern and southcentral Pennsylvania.
Her grand champion Top-O-
Hill Admiral Precious, was but one
of several Admiral daugthers that
Seeds had at the fair that stood out
and earned her a second place in
the junior get-of-sire behind Paul
Plummer’s Juno daughters. Seeds
was first place in the senior-get-f
sire, and a first in the best three
females.
And Seeds’s junior champion
was a home-bred Imperial
daughter.
Tank Gaffney, also of Top-O-
Hill Farm, showed and won the
4-H grand championship with a
senior 2-year-old, Top-O-Hill
Junos Taco.
The 4-H junior champion was
an intermediate yearling, Junos
Beacon Advancer Sara, shown by
Paul Plummer.

In the Guernsey show, Jason
Henisee, of Columbia, showed a
senior yearling to win the grand
championship, while Brian Smith,
of Denver, showed a junior 3-year
old to win the reserve grand and
senior championship. His animal
was also named best bred and
owned.
In the Ayrshire division, Beth
Spickler, of Mount Joy. showed an
intermediate calf to win the grand
champion title, while her 5-year
old and senior champion was
named reserve grand champion.
Spickler also showed the reserve
junior champion.
In the Brown Swiss division,
Elizabeth Smith, of Denver,
showed the grand and reserve
grand champions and the junior
champion, while Gerald Boyd, of
Ephrata, showed the reserve junior
champion.
