Veteran Jersey cow breeder and exhibitor Mildred Seeds, owner of Top-O-Hill Farm, showed the grand champion Jersey in a 55-animal show held Thursday night at the Kimberton Communi ty Fair, in Kimberton. Seeds, of Downingtown, and her youth showed a number of the chalnpions of the evening. Mildred’s grand champion was a junior 2-year-old that judge War ren Buckman, of Perkasie, in Bucks County, said he really admired, even though she wasn’t as mature as some of the other animals. At the Kimberton fair, there are no reserve champions named, but if there would have been. Seeds probably would have had more awards. The Jersey show at Kim berton is one of the laigest com munity Jersey shows in southeast ern and southcentral Pennsylvania. Her grand champion Top-O- Hill Admiral Precious, was but one of several Admiral daugthers that Seeds had at the fair that stood out and earned her a second place in the junior get-of-sire behind Paul Plummer’s Juno daughters. Seeds was first place in the senior-get-f sire, and a first in the best three females. And Seeds’s junior champion was a home-bred Imperial daughter. Tank Gaffney, also of Top-O- Hill Farm, showed and won the 4-H grand championship with a senior 2-year-old, Top-O-Hill Junos Taco.
