Momingstar was crowned 1994-95 Mercer County Dairy Princess at the annual coun ty pageant at the Mercer County Extension Center. Kristine M. Williams and Leanna E. Wester will serve as alternate Dairy Prin cesses. Momingstar, daughter of Eddie and Deanna Momingstar, resides with her parents on their 175-acre dairy operation. Morning - N - Nile Farms in Fredonia. Virginia. 17, is a senior at Lakeview High School. She is active in the choir and serves as the president of Fu ture Farmers of America. She is a member of Mercer County 4-H, Junior Holstein, and Junior Jersey Association. She plans to attend Pennsylvania Stale University, majoring in agricultural and dairy science. Kristine Williams, 17, is the daughter of John and Susan Wil liams, Hadley. Her father is a tech nician for Atlantic Breeder Co operative. Kristine, a senior at Commodore Perry High School, participates in volleyball, soccer, and is active on the Prom Com mittee. She plans to attend Slip pery Rock University to further her education. Leanna Wester, daughter of Al bin and Betty Wester, resides on the family’s eight-acre dairiy operation in Jamestown. Leanna, a senior at Jamestown High School, is active in Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), basket ball, and Spanish and Art clubs. She also participates in Mercer County 4-H activities. She plans to attend Pennsylvania State Uni versity to study animal biological science. She is presently employ ed by Jamestown Veterinary Clin ic. The board of directors, Adams County Holstein Club, has estab lished a scholarship for benefit of us junior members who plan to advance their education. Applicants must be a member of the Pennsylvania Junior Hols tein Association, a resident of Adams County, a high school senior through age 21, attending or planning to attend a four-year school, two-year school, technical school, or Short Course which has been approved by the scholarship committee. Applicants must complete an application and submit this with a transcript of their grades by Sep- Gerald Voohries, Slonebono. Marsha Chess, outgoing 1993-94 Mercer County Dairy Princess expressed her apprecia tion to the dairy industry for the opportunity to experience the many interesting challenges dur ing the past year. Appreciation was also extended to 1993-94 Mercer County alternate Dairy Princesses, Sara Hoover and Anita Werger. A contest was also held for any one to submit a drawing to be printed on a T-shirt. The T-shirts will be sold at the Stoneboro Fair. Onalee Smith, Greenville, was chosen as the winner. She will re ceive the first T-shirt.
