Thanks to Anne Wtegle, Pottstown, for sending a recipe. Refrigerate the pan drippings from a baked ham. It will separate into white fat on top and a brown jelly on the bottom. Save the jelly for when you want to prepare only a ham slice'. Heat and mix in skillet: 2 tablespoons ham fat 2 tablespoons jelly 1 tablespoon cider vinegar ’/«cup brown sugar V* cup water Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch into V* cup water. Add to sauce and thicken, slowly bringing it to a boil, stirring con stantly. Reduce heat. If desired, add ’/* cup raisins to sauce. Add slices of leftover ham to sauce and heat over low heat. Everitt was honored at a banquet on June 29 at the Cook College Student in New Bruns wick, NJ. The banquet is part of a three day 4-H conference “4-H Action Days” held annually at Rutgers University. Teen delegate Stacey Susca of Annandale presented Roger Everitt with a plaque for outstanding accomplishment. Everitt began his 4-H career in Hunterdon County in the Mount Airy Dairy Club (the second old est Dairy Club in the state) in the late 19305. He served as president of his club and won a trip to Na tional 4-H Congress for excel lence in his dairy project He has three daughters and one son who were all involved in 4-H and who all together have a total of seven children of their own. Everilt serves on the Hunterdon County Board of Agriculture and the Flemington Fair Board. He supports 4-H in an advocacy role in both of those organizations. His support has been instrumental in making and keeping the Fleming ton Fair a safe, and exciting edu cational event for Hunterdon County 4-H’ers. He spends a tre mendous amount of time helping 4-H prepare for the fair and a tre mendous amount of time at the fair each summer, making sure things run smoothly.
