Weaver said the environmental chambers in the research building will be especially useful. “We can alter a chamber’s temperature, relative humidity, ventilation and light rates to simulate different sea sons, housing types and other environmental factors,” he said. “That would have been impossible at the old research farm, where environmental conditions often depended on what was happening outside.”
