The list includes herds from Maryland, Pen nsylvania, and West Virginia. The information is listed by herd name, county association, number of cows in the herd and the average production per cow in the herd. To be included, the herd must have 10 cows averaging 65 pounds or more of 3.5 percent fat corrected milk per cow, per day. All herds reported are on official DHI or DHIR test. SYRACUSE N.Y.—Don’t miss the American Dairy Asso ciation and Dairy Coun cil’s (ADADC) annual meeting and State Dairy Princess Pageant sche duled for Tuesday, February 22, at the Sheraton Inn, Liver pool, New York. This year’s annual meeting will start with registration at 11:00 a.m. followed by a fes tive luncheon and infor mative presentation from ADADC commu nications, consumer promotions and nutri tion educations depart ments. Video highlights will give attendees a first hand look at how producer contributions were used to promote the importance of dairy products and increase dairy sales in 1993. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to film a New York state cheese commercial in Roches ter using more than ISO consumers, and three “Breakfast in School is Cool” commercials filmed on-site at an elementary school in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The final product of all these commercials will be shown. At 2:30 p.m., the business meeting will get underway with a prize drawing and pre sentation of service awards followed by a brief financial update.' Included in this session will be presentations, from the United Dairy j Industry Association and ADADC’s adver tising agency. Following the annual meeting, the 31st New York State Dairy Prin cess Pageant activities will commence at 5:30 p.m. with a milk punch reception, followed by a banquet and coronation of the 1994 State Princess.
