Pear ce, who also stated that the price was $12.83 in October 1993 The uniform price is a marketwide weighted average of the value of farm milk used for fluid and manufactured dairy products. The seasonal incen tive plan has been sus pended for 1993. If the plan had been in effect, the remainder of the monies deducted in the spring months plus interest earned would have been returned in the November uniform price calculation. A total of 11,798 dairy farmers supplied handlers regulated under the New York- New Jersey marketing orders with 881,123,147 pounds of milk during November 1993. This was an increase of 2.1. percent (about 18 mil lion pounds) from last year. The gross value to dairy farmers for milk deliveries was $119,914,482.97. This included differentials required to be paid to dairy fanners but not premiums, deductions authorized by the far mer, or assessments. Regulated handlers used 391,062,849 pounds of milk for Class 1.44.4 percent of the tot al. This milk is used for fluid milk products such as homogenized, fla vored, low test, and skim milks. For Novem ber 1993, handlers paid $14.32 per hundred weight (30.8 cents per quart) for Class I milk compared with $14.70 a year ago. Handlers used 151,231,769 pounds of milk for Class II pro ducts, 17.2 percent of the total. Class II pro ducts include fluid cream, eggnog, ricotta and cottage cheeses, ice cream, and yogurt. Handlers paid $13.42 per hundredweight for this milk. The balance (338,828,529 pounds or 38.4 percent) was used to manufacture Class 111 products including but ter, cheese other than ricotta and cottage cheese, and dried milk. Handlers paid $12.81 per hundredweight for this milk.
