Manha/m, PA IZS4S Lancaster Dairy Herd Improvement Association recently released its end-of-the year, lifetime production records for member’s cows, listing those with production in excess of 6,500 pounds of butterfat, or more than 180,000 pounds of milk The highest lifetime milk production was by Fern, a Holstein owned by Robert Kauff man Jr., of Peach Bottom, who milks mpre than 100 cows. Fem was bom August 1977, and after her 12th lactation, recorded 282,058 pounds milk. Her milkfat production was 10,442 pounds.
