Saddle Cinches 4-H Celebrates 25 Years With Reunion Horse Show MANHEIM (Lancaster Co.) Twenty-five years ago. a group of 10 teen-agers in the Manheim- Elizabethtown-Mount Joy area who had a love of horses got together to form a 4-H club. This year, the group, which numbers 60 youth, is celebrating a quarter of a century of active parti cipation in the 4-H horse program by staging a 25-Year Reunion Horse Show on Saturday, Sept. 18. at Peter's Ring on Sunnyside Rd.. Manheim. The show will begin at 10 a.m. with classes for all past and present members, leaders, and families of 4-H Saddle Cinchers. Classes range from the standard equitation and pleasure classes (English and Western) to the favorites of crawl thru the barrel and dollar bareback. There will be several champion ships and divisions, with walk trot jog classes for the youngsters and jumping and racing classes for the more experienced. Classes will cost $3 each and are open to anyone who has been asso ciated with the club the past 25 years. Show organizer and leader Kendy Allen said she hopes past members will arrive for the show, even if they don't have a horse to ride, because the day is also planned as a reunion for former members to remember the good times. Allen said this is the first step in the 2Sth anniversary celebration.
