Not lor on Commander.
Universal's Commander™, a
computer-driven feed man
agement system, has taken the
word “impossible" out of a lot
of things in dairying.
Feed inside and outside
with different rations at the
same time. Impossible? Not for
the Commander.
Make sure dry cows in the dry lot get
exactly the right feed early or late in their dry period.

Friends Build A Center
In the beginning of the summer,
it was decided by a group of
4-H’ers and their leaders to get lo
cal breeders to donate a spring
lamb that would be fed by a 4-H
member and then sold with the en
tire proceeds going to the center
fund.
To start, Walter M. Dunlap &
Sons of Lancaster purchased Leah
Mast's champion medium'weight
lamb weighing 95 pounds for
$2/pound and then donated the
lamb back to be resold to benefit
the 4-H Center.
After the regular sale, the
"benefit” lambs were then auc
tioned off and Leah’s lamb was
then sold to the Friends of the 4-H
Center for a whopping
SS.SO/|pound. They then donated it
back to be resold again to support
the center and it was finally
bought by Peg Kaufman for
$1.60/pound. The lamb alone rais
ed $674.50 for the center.
