Cumberland 4-H Dairy Roundup Winners Named BETH MILLER Cumberland Co. Correspondent SHIPPENSBURG (Cumberland Co.) The competition was tough during the Cumberland County 4-H Dairy Roundup held at the Ship pensburg Fairgrounds. More than 80 county 4-H members and their animals competed at the roundup, which was judged by Terry Rawn of Charlestown, W. Va. The big winner in the competition for Ayr shires was Heath A. Ocker of Shippensburg, who won the grand champion and senior champ ion titles with his senior three-year-old Ockcr dale Champ Jaime Joyce. He also won the reserve grand champion award with his summer yearling Ockerdale Milk Machine Julie. Michelle E. Ocker of Shippensburg won the Ayrshire reserve senior champion honor with her junior two-year-old Masonic-Homes Jade Megan. In the Brown Swiss contest, the grand champ ion was Wind Mill Ernest Molly, a spring junior calf shown by Mark Fulton of Shippensburg. The Brown Swiss reserve grand champion was Justa-Beauty Craft Lucky, a spring junior calf shown by Aaron B. Comman of Boiling Springs. For the Guernseys, the grand champion was Michael Hensel of Newburg and his spring junior calf Hensel-Hill Star Wars Stormy. Hensel took the reserve grand champion award also with his fall senior calf Hensel-Hill Billy Pebbles. The Holstein senior champion and grand champion was Bradley L. Vamer of Carlisle and his senior three-year-old Le-Ida Marvel Ideal. The reserve grand champion and reserve senior champion honors went to Julie Ann Dyarman and her five-year-old Dyar-Acrcs Naketa Valiant. During the Jersey competition, the grand champion and senior champion awards went to Rebecca A. Comman of Boiling Springs and her senior three-year-old Red Hills Bradford Gwdn. Carrock Sooner B Frosty, a four-year-old shown by Emily Dietrich of Newburg, won the reserve grand champion apd the senior champion honors. Rebecca Comman also won the grand champ ion and senior champion awards in the Milking Shorthorn event with her junior two-year-old Three Springs Courtney. Many of the same winners also won awards in the junior segment of the roundup. Heath Ocker won the Ayrshire junior champ ion honor with his Ockerdale Milk Machine Julie. Mark Fulton was the Brown Swiss junior champion with his Wind Mill Ernest Molly. Aaron Comman with his Justa-Beauty Craft Lucky was the reserve junior champion. Michael Hensel won the Guernsey junior champion award with his Hensel-Hill Star Wars Stormy. He then won the reserve junior champ ion honor with Hensel-Hill Billy Pebbles. The Holstein junior champion award went to Sarah Amanda Day of Shippensburg and her winter intermediate calf Tri-Day Starbuck Mirage-ET. Elizabeth L. Walton of Carlisle cap tured the reserve junior champion title with her spring junior calf Tower Vue Counselor Elle. Emily Dietrich won the Jersey junior champ ion honor with her spring junior calf Carrock Hermitage Flurde.
