burg showed her talent by taking the
senior champion honor in the open
event at the recent Shippensburg
Fair' Jersey Show.
Martin won that award by show
ing Bridon Just Leta, an animal in
the 6-year-old and older class.
The reserve senior champion
award in the open contest went to
Doug and Beth Rheinhait of Cham
bersburg for their junior 2-ycar-old,
Quest-End Frankie Cameo.

FFA event also. She won the FFA
grand champion and senior cham
pion honors with her senior 3-year

The judge for the show was Mike
Stiles of Wavcriy Farms in Clear
brook, VaT, who milks 27S register
ed Jerseys, farms 400 acres and has

In the junior competition, Holly
Carbaugh of Chambersburg won the
open and 4-H champion awards with

SHIPPENSBURG (Cumberland
Co.) Melanie Dietrich of New
burg came away the big winner in
the colored breeds Pitting and
showing competition at the Ship
pensburg Fair, held the last week
of July.
Dietrich won the grand champ
ion shower and fitter title in the
contest that drew about 30 4-H
and FFA contestants from Cum
berland and Franklin counties.
Her victory mariced Dietrich’s
last opportunity to win because
she will be too old to compete in
the 4-H and FFA event at next
year’s fair.
