■■■Hl Rll l HAPPENINGS Yellow Rose Barrel Spectacular On Saturday, June S, the Yel low Rose 4-H Club will sponsor its fifth annual Barrel Racing Horse Show at the Luzerne Coun ty Fairgrounds, Dallas. The show will start at 1 p.m., rain or shine, with youth riders on their ponies competing in timed events, followed by amateur and open divisions. Exhibitors will arrive from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and all across Pennsylvania to com pete for some/big prize money classes. Admission and parking are free, and the Yellow Rose 4-H Club will have refreshments available. For more information, call (717) 477-2204 or 256-3531. Flying Fingers 4-H The Flying Fingers 4-H Club has had a busy beginning this pro ject year. Officers for the year are President- Peggy Myers, Vice President- Abby Noss, Secretary- Sandy Anderson, Treasurer- Tanya Zelger, Social Chairman- Tasha Zelger, and News Reporter- Angie Bailey. In October the club had a club Halloween party. During Decern jSS*»*«« r *sr ber they had a Christmas patty and a field trip to JoAnn Fabrics to pick out material and a pattern. The club had it’s first meeting in January to work on sewing pro jects. The regular meeting will now be held the first Thursday of every month.
