39th annual spring show and sale
of the Northwestern Pennsylvania
Hereford Association was held at
the Mercer 4-H Park on April 24.
The show was at 2 p.m. with
Eric Ligo of Mercer as the judge
and the sale at 7 p.m. with Harry
Anderson of Georgetown as the

donated by the membership to
benefit the junior association.
The 33 lots (females and bulls)
totaled $29,960 for an average of
$9OB/head. There were 22
females, totalling $18,120 for an
average of 5824/hcad. The 11
bulls totaled $11,840 for an aver-

ISS Wisdom, consigned by Circle
W Hereford Farm of Salem, Ohio
sold to James E. Ellis of Venus,
Pa. for $1,300. Circle W also had
reserve grand champion bull, a
January 1992 son of CWF Special
Force, sold to Robert Bcdncr of
Pittsburgh, Pa. for $1,600. Top
selling bull was consigned by
Hillside Hereford Farm of Butler,
an April 1992 son of JCD NV
Ascendant sold to Wilbur DcVorc
of Bear Lake, Pa. for 51,775.
DeVore was also a volume buyer
with the purchase of five lots.

ner circle with grand champion
heifer, June 1992 daughter of
CWF Special Force, sold to Charl
es Vogel of Evans City, Pa. for
$1,025. Reserve grand champion
heifer was consigned by Stanley
