For Bonnie Herr of Kirkwood,
the best thing about living in the
’9os is watching her grandchildren
grow up. Recently a grandchild
from Alaska was visiting her, and
ironically had to postpone her
return to Alaska because of the
blizzard that hit Lancaster County.
The worst thing about the ’9os
according to Bonnie is the fear of
nuclear holocast. “Not so much for
myself but what will happen to the
world at large and to grandchil
dren,” she said.
Turn tough fields
Take on thick, wet, or down hay...rolling
terrain...rough fields...and keep your haying on
schedule with a rugged John Deere Rotary
Mower/Conditioner. Both the 8-foot-2-inch 1350

tough conditions fast

rubs the crop against itself
and the conditioning hood -
scuffing the stems’ waxy outer
layer. The results: fast drydown
and better quality hay.
